Jordan McLaughlin for the GAMA Board.

I'm a fighter who will protect our industry from the administration's harmful tariffs taxes. I also have two years of Board experience serving as Vice-President for Ohio Nature Education. Vote for me for the Publisher Board Seat on May 30th.

Why I'm Running

We are at a critical moment for our industry.

Tariffs are a direct threat to the livelihood of publishers, creators, and entrepreneurs who power the tabletop gaming world. That’s why I’m running for the Publisher seat on the GAMA Board—because now more than ever, our industry needs fighters who will stand up and speak out.

I’m Jordan McLaughlin, founder of Rookie Mage Games and creator of Don’t Get Stabbed!. I’ve been on the front lines of this fight—joining a federal lawsuit against the Trump administration to challenge illegal tariffs, and using media platforms to make sure the public and
policymakers understand the truth: tariffs are taxes on American businesses—not China.

But I bring more than my passion. I bring over a decade of political experience—running candidate campaigns, leading issue advocacy efforts, and managing crisis communications. I know how to build coalitions, shape narratives, and get results.

Now I want to bring that experience to the GAMA Board to fight for you.

If you want someone who won’t back down, who knows how to fight political battles, and who will champion publishers at every level—please vote for me. Let’s protect what we’ve built, together.

  • Creation of an Advocacy Tool Kit

Members want to help in the fight against the tariff taxes. Let's provide our industry with a toolkit that includes standardized talking point, sharable content, media outreach guides, and more.

  • Public Tariff Outreach & Education

The tabletop community is larger than ever. We have millions of advocates who would be willing to reach out to their representatives if we educate them on what tariffs are and how they hurt our industry.

  • Defend DEI

As an LGBT+ Owned Business, I know how important it is to support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. I'm proud of GAMA for stepping up and defending DEI when it is under attack. I want to make sure we continue advocating for DEI in our industry.
